Face of the Globe speach

09:15

I'm writing a blog post that has taken me a little longer than first thought.
This post is purely a filler!

(This pageant is in Disney Land - Hence a Disney Round - I'm Mr J Cricket in the middle)

Face of the Globe is an international beauty pageant I qualified for last year! Placing runner up at 'Face of the North East' was an amazing opportunity. Sadly I couldn't raise the sponsorship in time and had to decline my place in the Paris finals. Which sucked a lot!

The programme for the pageant required me to write a 30 second speech to present at a gala night. I obviously didn't get to present this as a speech but I feel like I should share it in some way. Even if you only learn a little about me.

I feel like the hardest thing to talk about is yourself, to fully open up and tell people who and what you are. I can stand here and tell you I work for charity and that I dance but that's what I do, not who I am.
This year I was put in a situation where I was forced to ask myself this question, Who am I? It's taken me a long time to answer ... but I'm a woman, a woman with goals, determination and a strong ambition to live every day happy, and to its fullest.

Someone once said 'it's the oldest story in the world one day your seventeen and planning for someday, then quietly and without you ever really noticing, someday is today and this is your life'

I believe in music and art, fate and love, I believe I've made the right choices and that I'm on the right path, but there is still time to make mistakes all follow different paths because every day we continue to grow. So my answer to that dreaded question is I don't know who I am yet but hopefully when someday comes I will.

Wish me luck
